'View' is part of a developing collection of 'fold out' book works that are map like in structure and open out to reveal large scale images based on various aspects of landscape. 'View' is as the title declares a portable view but one only a travelled in aircraft can show, a scan of clouds from above on a summer day over France. The folding of the paper imposes a grid onto the image and a further area is defined with pencil. 'View' begins to articulate a complex notion of the landscape and natural world where conservation meets with surveillance and geo-political ideas are intricately connected to scientific understanding.
